The Transgender 'Debate' in the UK Parliament | Q91
Friday Dec 09, 2016
Friday Dec 09, 2016
In the beginning God made them male and female and at the end the British Parliament decided that they were not. David Robertson reflects on the recent Transgender Equality debate in the House of Commons, the potential impact of people being able to change their legal sex by self declaration and the risks of extending the protection given to “gender reassignment” under our equalities legislation to “gender identity.”

Post Truth | Q89

Saturday Nov 26, 2016
You see it all the time on social media. You see it all the time in the secular media. It's becoming more rare to see contrasting views put across and people being able to rationally think and work things through. It's not just that we live in a post-truth society. We live in a post-rational society. In this week's Quantum, David Robertson navigates the issue of truth.

There's a blame game going on. David Robertson thinks about the threats to democracy that are surfacing in the wake of the Trump victory, the deep irony of the politics of fear, why BBC pluralism is wrong and how Leonard Cohen points the way to the true freedom that can be found only in Christ.

Speak Up with Keiran Turner | Q82
Friday Oct 07, 2016
Friday Oct 07, 2016
Keiran Turner of the Evangelical Alliances joins Al Smith in the studio to talk about Speak Up, the new resource for Christians that about the law across the UK for sharing the Gospel in public, in private, at work, at church, on the street and online.
You can download or read the full version at
www.GreatCommission.co.uk/speakup
"About time! We have needed something like Speak Up for a long time. It is balanced, informative, clear, well-written, wise, biblical and incredibly helpful. Some Christians think it is illegal for us to share our faith, others almost seem to think it is immoral and yet others are just confused about how and what we can say. This short publication not only sets out the legal position but gives us wise biblical advice which is directly applied to the culture we live in, not the one we used to live in, or the one we wished we lived in. It’s good news that we have the good news and it’s good news that we can tell the good news. Every church and Christian in the UK should have a copy of this wonderful resource."
David Robertson, minister of St Peter's Free Church, Dundee, director of Solas CPC
